The River Delta - Our home spot
Atins’ river delta is a vast, diverse, and playful kite spot. Sheltered from the open sea, the water is flat, making it one of the best spots for learning and practicing new tricks. If you want to practice your strapless skills, you just have to head out to the river mouth, and in less than 10 minutes, you will find amazing waves. Even on busy days, the spot never gets too crowded, due to its sheer size.
The Lençoís National Park
Blue freshwater lagoons, waist-deep water, and jaw-dropping scenery. The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, on its own, is mind-blowing enough, but cutting through the butter-flat surface of one of the several thousand lagoons with your board is absolutely priceless and an experience you will never forget. To get here, you will either have to go on an 18-kilometer downwind or take a car, but it is well worth the effort. Our team is more than happy to guide you on the downwind and to organize the car for you!

After hundreds of hours of teaching and running the Pure Kitesurf School in 2024, we felt ready to create our own Brand-Identity and founded Ventus Kiteboarding in 2025. Our love for the sport and nature drives our commitment to share this joy by passing on our expertise to our clients.

Hans first came to Atins in 2019 when traveling the north-east of Brazil in search of the perfect Kitespot. The beauty of the Lençóis National Park, the incredible wind conditions, and the simple life in Atins surrounded by nature made him come back year after year and in 2023 he finally decided to settle here permanently. To become an instructor initially was a practical decision, but practicing the job led him to discover a deep passion for teaching Kitesurfing.

Roberta first came to Atins in 2021, where she discovered her love for Kitesurfing. The perfect conditions allowed her to train relentlessly and being very talented, she soon was ready to take her IKO course, turning her into a passionate Instructor. Her warm heart and her caring and acommodating nature have our students feel instantly connected to our kite family.
